Conditions Needed
For successful germination, cactus
seeds need 3 factors to be controlled:
A daytime temperature of 20 – 25 degrees Centigrade is fine to get your
seeds to germinate. If it is a little cooler at night, that’s OK.
Cactus seeds need adequate light to germinate. Keep them in bright conditions
but out of direct sunlight. Don’t bury the seeds, but that is explained
later in this article.
Humidity is the key to getting your seeds to grow. It needs to be high!!
Again, this is covered later in the article.
I sow my seeds in March, April and May. The time of year may need to be
varied to suit your geographical location.
